Your library card is good at any Shelby County Library. See below on what is needed to get signed up today!

Shelby County Residents:

In order to receive a library card you must present two forms of identification with your current address. This card must be renewed once every three years.
For minors, a legal guardian must be present and sign for the minor’s card along with presenting two forms of ID.  This card must be renewed once every three years.

Employee within Shelby County Limits:

If you work within the Shelby County limits, you can receive a library card upon proof of employment and two forms of identification. This card must be renewed once a year.

Student:

If you are a student, you may receive a library card with proof of enrollment and an ID with your current address. This card must be renewed once a year.

Out of County Resident:

Adults 18 or older who live out of county can receive a library card with two forms of identification. An out of county card has an annual fee of $30.00. Card must be renewed once a year.

Temporary:

Residents who are in impermanent and/or transient housing situations may receive a library card upon proof of residence or letter from their host or the administration of the organization. This card must be renewed every 6 months.
