Biography
Cody Sumners has been a resident of Chelsea for over 30 years and graduated from Chelsea High School in 1993. He and his wife Jennifer have two children, Paul and Payton, and are members of New Heights United Methodist Church.
Cody has worked for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office for over 18 years. During his time with the Sheriff’s Office he has worked as:
- Commander of the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force
- Patrol Deputy
- Patrol Division Watch Commander
- School Resource Officer
- Training Coordinator
Cody stays active in the community as President of Chelsea Wrestling Club, a baseball coach with Chelsea Youth Club and is currently a board member on the Greystone YMCA Advisory Board. In his free time, Cody enjoys reading and spending time with his family.
